Hotel Augsut
The hotel August is integrated into a protected monument with a unique chapel on the site of the military hospital in Antwerp. This project is part of a redevelopment of a monument to a four star hotel. The program includes 46 hotel rooms, a business center, a restaurant and a wellness center. The project has two gardens which are arranged as guest garden. It is a huge challenge and a very intensive assignment to integrate all contemporary techniques of a hotel in this historic setting.
We act as adviser for all techniques including the sewage and drainage of the project, the kitchen and the audio-visual installations.
All areas are air conditioned whereby the comfort of the client is essential. The central air handling units are designed per user profile. The central generation of heat and cold are technically optimized regarding energy consumption.
We strictly watch over the sound production of the technical equipment towards the hotel and the surrounding area.
The lighting system is designed in cooperation with the architectural team and partners probably from Lebanon or France. The lighting in this project is an essential part of the experience of the areas as a hotel guest, hereby we think about the rooms, the restaurant, the wellness and the chapel as a bar.
